Puppies!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

If anyone is around the Springfield, Missouri area or is willing to travel, I have some gorgeous puppies to go to wonderful homes. They are black Lab purebreds and just so sweet and very playful.

We also have a beautiful female 1.5 year old chocolate lab to go to a new home.

Let me know if you are interested and I will be happy to provide more information.

We are not charging anything for them. We just want them to go to wonderful homes. We have spent a lot of time with them and are quite attached. They will make awesome pets and great walking partners for those of us that walk or run. They are eight weeks old yesterday. Cute!!!

Really how many do you have? We have a 9 y/o old basset/beagle who we've been wanting to get a partner for before he gets really really old. I live in the Kansas City area and will be heading down that way to Branson for Christmas - let me talk to my boyfriend and see if he'd be interested - can you email any pics?? How are their temperments? We would need a sweet natured, mild one to go well with our older dog whos very mellow but still spunky.

Oh tell me more about the older chocolate lab? Is she housebroken? How is her behaviour? Good with kids & other dogs? Just curious as to why you are getting rid of the older one? How big is she?

We have two puppies left, a male and female. They are incredibly sweet and really like to play. I have three children and the puppies love them so much. I will actually be coming to Kansas City </ST1:parea the 13th for a fill. My doc is in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com><st1:City w:st=<ST1><st1:City w:st=<ST1:place Lenexa</ST1:p</st1:City>. I will get you pics by this weekend, if you want to message me your email address. Labs are typically sweet natured, tend to be lower-keyed and very dedicated.<O:p</O:p

Godiva, our chocolate lab really needs more time than we can give her right now. My husband and I are going all the time, we just are not home enough to work with her. She is very sweet, but timid. I think the home we got her from was abusive and we have had a hard time housebreaking her because our schedules lead to inconsistencies with her training. I think she would make someone a wonderful dog, but it needs to be someone that can really dedicate some time to her. She weighs about 70 lbs. <O:p</O:p

Thank you so much for asking. We really love our dogs and want them to go to great, loving homes.

Hi my genre,

We have a puppy and he wouldn't take kindly to any other additions (nor would DH's allergies) but I know several people in KC, Springfield, Columbia, etc. who are dog fans and could send them a message to help you find them homes if you don't find them homes here.

Hi, I have 3 Labs and would highly recommend anyone considering getting a Lab to educate themselves on behaviors that are characteristic of the breed. Labs are great pets and typically wonderful with children, but can be very hyper and mouthy.

I would recommend www.justlabradors.com forum. I will warn you that this forum is very much into responsible breeding so breeding is not a very popular topic unless you have certifications on eyes and hips and very good bloodlines as Labradors are the #1 most euthanized animals in the nation and the breed is very over bred.

Best of luck to everyone!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
