robinbare 0 Posted June 9, 2010 I was just approved by my insurance today. I meet with the doc on Tuesday. I am excited but I am also scared. I have been reading all the brochures they have given me and I am very overwhelmed. I am so scared. The liquid diet scares me too! I hope I can find the support I need here. :tongue2:
losethemess 14 Posted June 9, 2010 Congrats and good luck. Being nervous is natural. If you aren't nervous then you should be worried. My advice, even though I haven't been approved yet. Ask lots of questions and do more research. Congrats again
serenity55 15 Posted June 9, 2010 Hi Robin, You've come to the right place for support. I found lots of that and encouragement, and friends too. It really is normal to be nervous--that just makes you human. Please ask questions, and read as the other poster said. I've found there's always someone willing to answer questions or just offer encouragement. Let us know how things go. Debbie
thamilton 0 Posted June 9, 2010 Congratulations! It is totally normal to be nervous. The liquid diet is not as bad as you think, and once you get in the right frame of mind you will do whatever it takes to get the weight off. When I was on my liquid diet, my family would eat in the kitchen and I would sit in the living room drinking my slim fast while looking at clothes catalogs....thinking of all the clothes I was going to be able to wear when I lost all my weight. It was very motivating....you can do this! It is the best thing I have ever done....not always easy but very worth it! Good Luck!!
karmaandkismet 0 Posted June 10, 2010 I am still on my 3 month supervised diet, but its interesting the range of emotions I have had just since I've started this process. This is a really big step that is going to change your future. Coming to the forums is a great place for support!
