My mom did the string over me after I posted that lol.

She always heard to do it over your wrist, so we did wrist & belly and both times it swung back & forth!

She did it for Carson too, but we can't remember what it said then.

I'm all over the place with those. The ring doesn't move in front of my belly. I don't get sick. I got a few pimples. I crave chocolate sometimes but also hot cheetos with lime. My face looks thinner than before but it might be my haircut. Ill have to wait until my ultrasound to know for sure.

My cousin is 13 weeks preggo and they already told her what she's having. So fast! My doctor told me they won't know until 20 weeks.

I'm so so so sleepy... I'm taking a nap when I get home then tackling the dishes. Unless they will magically have been done for me?? Ha ha ha

Good evening, Violets..

What a nice day today. I got to be in the pool for an hour this afternoon. Did 1/2 hour of exercises and 1/2 hour of floating around waiting for the sun to peek out. It did now and then, but of course now that I'm done and changed, the sun is out full time. Hopefully it will be out tomorrow as I don't have anything on the agenda at all!!

I'm finishing up my leftovers from dinner last night. yummy shrimp and sweet potato fries. Then I have singing rehearsal at 7. Home and putting the cover back on the pool and then relaxing for the evening. I'm 60% through with the book Hannah's List and it's a good read. I'm going to head to Amazon and see what I want to get next.

Mae.. my surgery is July 14th. I see my family doctor on the 27th for the all clear, then the ortho on the 6th, pre-surgery stuff and a class about what to expect. I have an unfill on the 8th, Garden Walk on the 10th and then surgery on Wednesday the next week. I'm ready to have it over so I can get to the rehab and get back to being able to walk without pain and pressure. The pool has been great. I can jog around and not feel the pain. I run 25 times around the 18ft. circular pool. That and the Water bar bells are a good workout.

As far as gender tests.. I was never sick a day with any of my pregnancies. Going by the age at and date of conception, it was wrong two out of three times for me. Never did the ring test, though I've seen it done lots.

Haydee and Laura.. are you going to find out what you're having or be surprised?? Me? I'd want to know. Daughter Kris? Not at all.. drives me nuts!!! Course maybe she'll change her mind when she gets pregnant again. She's lost 15# on WW and is working toward getting her weight down so she can think about getting pregnant again. I'm gonna need a new baby to love on once Ethan leaves me.. :smile2: Sure would LOVE it to be a little girl.

Off to finish dinner and get to rehearsal. Everyone have a good evening!

Definitely finding out!!! Russ wanted to wait last time, I didn't, so the nurse told him to look away--then she said it outloud on accident, do ya'll remember? He was so upset, so I promised on #2 we wouldn't find out (really I was just going to call back later and be the only one who knows).

But when I showed him the pregnancy test was positive, his first reaction was "When can we find out if it's a girl? 3 months?" LOL. So, he is dying to know too. So funny because he was so against finding out the first time.

Normally you find out at 20w Haydee, they can see it on the ultrasound then.

Your cousin must have had a chromosome test for some other reason (only way they can find out that early). Did they test for downs or something??

How did those old wives have so much time to sit around making up those odd prediction tests? That's what I want to know!

DD's still @ the beach, DS had soccer practice, so DH & I went out for a nice dinner just the two of us last night! Will wonders never cease? We went to Bonefish Grill. I'm not a big fish person, but enjoyed the pecan crusted trout! The raspberry vodka collins hit the spot, as well...

US plays in an hour! Get out your vuvuzelas and blow! We need a win!!!

Good morning, Violets..

Looking like a yucky day today. It's my first Wednesday with NOTHING to do! No rehearsals, no choir, no Ethan, no nuthin! I was planning on working in the yards and then swimming for the afternoon. Not gonna happen with the storms I see on the horizon. sighhhhh

I'm going to look at plane tickets today. Won't be able to get anything until next month, but at least I can check schedules and prices.

The Bobster is working today so I'm by my lonesome all day. I guess I can finish my book and look for a new one. I don't feel like doing any housework today, but might have to break down and do a little.

Bob and I will go visit my friend Betsy at the hospital today. She had surgery yesterday and I got to see her for a minute after my hospital shift.

So much drama happening at the church now. Picky, petty little things. I can't wait for things to be done on the 18th and then work to get things back to where they should be.

Off to find some Breakfast and start my uneventful day!

Everyone make it a good one!

Then at 1pm, I am going to a luncheon for what I thought was my friend's bday...but it is for my bday too! How cool! We are going to PF Changs! Then whoever wants too can come over and go swimming...that is why I want the Walden work done first!

Busy day at work, heading in early.

It was over 100 yesterday or just at 100. All I heard was it got into triple digits.

I sent you girls an email about American Airlines, can't commit myself, but it is a great price. They say it is not a special though, because when I clicked on special and put the two airports in nothing showed up.

Okay, off I go to work........I know I didn't tell you yesterday, but Charlie left me a BIG mess with some of his customers that I had to deal with. Makes me mad, I am not his receptionist!!

Our pics are ready from that studio from hell..so we stopped to get them on the way to work. I told Russ he has to go in, I'm not goin in there after her bein a shit to me.

So he goes "I'm not leaving without some money". HEH! I said MAKE SURE you have those pictures IN YOUR HAND before you start up.

Oddly enough, her husband was there.. I've never met him, but I guess it's a good thing he was there. He took Russ into the office and was tellin him he understands, he feels bad, so sorry, but he can't refund money his wife will have a caniption (sp).

So then russ said, ok maybe not the double price being refunded, but we paid for 2 sittings for 2010 and SHE told US not to come back, so we should get that money back at least! So the guy said "I can't believe she'd say that".. then he texts her and she said "Hell yes I told them not to come back!!!". HEH. So he wrote us a check to refund the sittings I paid for, for 2010. Then she gets there, calls husband out into the hall, close the door. She is cussing saying don't give them a F@#%king penny back, etc.. and he's telling her, you can't keep their money for sittings if you told them not to come back. So she slammed the door and stormed off... And he wrote us a check. I told Russ, I'm curious to see if the check is cancelled before we cash it.

In any event, he came out with our pictures and a check for $106. My man is good. I'd have slapped her after I had the pics in my hand.

I can't believe she's so hostile, all over the fact that I complained that she doubled the price without telling me up front.

Oh my goodness laura! Such hostility! Especially coming from someone that makes her living from peoples happy moments. She doesn't need to be doing this is she can't handle herself professionaly. I hope that you reported her to the BBB and to any other review website.

And ditto for finding out the sex of the baby. When juan was hugging me after I told him we were expecting he asked me right away, when will we find out what it is? Lol. He is so ready to find out.

oh and my appetite is back, lol. But I still eat as much as when I was a bandster. That makes me feel good but at the same time it doesn't. Like how is ikt possible that with no restriction whatsoever I fill up on the same amount of food that I normally eat with my band fully filled? Just baffles me. Unless my stomach pouch shrunk? You know how that happens sometimes? Dunno...

Went swimming again last night. Augh! My mom called right when I got off of work and told me to come over because she had cooked. I told her, mama I have piles of dishes to do! She's like, that can wait, lol. Love my mama!

Good evening, Violets..

Ok.. I just booked my flight and I have a question. It asked if I wanted to rent a Harley at the PSP airport. Do I?

I've had a very relaxing day. Kris came over and we had lunch together. Then it poured and I did some shopping. Bob is on his way home and I need to fix dinner. Then we're headed to see Betsy. I'm taking her her favorite thing......chocolate!

I made Peanut Butter Cookies today. I use the 3 ingredient recipe and they are delicious!! 1 cup P'nut butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 egg. That's it. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 and they are done.

Everyone have a good evening!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
