I'm with you guys on the hunger front. My tummy is definitely growling up a storm. I had a little Water and some creamy Soup and it was delicious but, i'm trying to take it easy. We can do it. Just two days then we get more mashed potatoes again! :tongue2:

BTW, how far are you guys out from your surgery. I was banded on 4/29. This thursday will be my 6th week which means its time to start hitting the gym. Have you started working out yet and if so, how's it going?

I was banded May 3, 2010 and had my first fill May 26(1cc). Exercise? I just spent two days sealing my deck by hand (9 gallons of sealer). I'd call that exercise. lol.. But no formal exercise yet. My weight hasn't budged in two weeks. I guess I'm experiencing the 'Bandster Hell' that I've read so much about. I'm down 16 pounds since starting my journey. I keep saying I'm going to start exercising but all I do is take short walks so far. I see my doc again this afternoon.

My surgery was may 5th. I haven't started working out yet, not looking forward to it either, lol.

I did try the cream of chicken and it went down well so I'm feeling much better.

Cream of chicken is great when you're only on liquids. I'm glad it worked out for you. I find that I can't eat too much of it, so I guess this fill is working so far.

I've started exercising, maybe 2-3 times a week. It's kind of sporadic. I know I need to be more regular with it, but I'm not so far. Trying to do better.

I had my first fill on 6/1/2010. The Doctor numbed the area first and the fill only took about 10 minutes under fluroscopy and only some slight pressure felt. He filled my 14cc band with 9cc of saline. I was pretty shocked that he put in 9cc for my first fill. I'm not able to get too much down as per I get a lot of cramping after just a few bites of food or a few sips of liquid. Is 9cc too much for a first fill?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
