Montarafat 0 Posted June 6, 2010 Just got banded on Wednesday 6/2 and have started to feel hungry. Should I? What kinds of things were you guys allowed to eat "right out the gate"? Any food ideas would help as the menu supplied was limited.
TinaM 0 Posted June 6, 2010 thats normal be sure to follow your doctors guidelines to the T for what to eat when regardles of what others say on here - your body, band and program is likely unique to you or at least your doctor with that said when i started feeling hungry again thanks to the swelling in my tummy going down i was still on Clear liquids - the broth out of the box wasn't cutting it neither was Jello - i stuck with my clear Protein drinks that had 40g of Protein and drank whell slipped religiously when i couldn't stand it any more i sent a friend out to get restauarnt Soup - french onion and homemade chicken noodle both from my fav rest. I had him strain off everything i couldn't ahve and i drank the broth - it was AMAZING how satisying that was just the different seasonings made me think fuller even tho in the end it was still broth  good luck
Montarafat 0 Posted June 6, 2010 Thanks for the post. Yup, following the docs advice to a "T". Tried Soups and Protein Shakes in small amounts (4-6oz.). Works for a little while...lots to drink too, but in small sips.
bambam31 168 Posted June 6, 2010 Just remember you're in this for the long haul! It takes so long preparing to have surgery that once it's done we just want to get going - problem is the equipment is installed - but not fully operational yet. It will take numerous fills to achieve satisfactory restriction - which can mean months down the road. This is one of the toughest periods of the whole process I think. Just be tough, follow your doc's guidelines, focus on the band fundamentals, and soon enough you'll be achieving success! Brad
