they are not good choices diet wise, but you may be able to eat some or all of them until you get good restriction. Now at full restriction, I cant eat anything bread like, and many battered type items are just as bad. So I try and stay away from all of those items, once you have gotten stuck on them, it is just no fun to try anymore.

Those items are not good choices because they are loaded with carbs. I'm always aware of what has carbs and avoid it. The only thing with carbs I allow myself is orange juice (Simply Orange because it's lowest in carbs) and I always have a strawberry milk every evening to take Miralax with. I also eat one regular (not sugarfree) popsicle every evening. I love them and they give me that little bit that I need. The only bread I ever eat is the low carb tortillas. I use them to make sandwich wraps, grilled cheese, garlic bread and Breakfast burritos. I love them! I don't even crave bread or sweets anymore.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
