joecs1 4 Posted June 4, 2010 Had my surgery May 25. I have stuck to my liquid diet but the last two days have been tough. Im hungry, very tired, and I cant control my body temperature. Im always cold to the point I am shivering. Is this normal? I have lost 33 lbs since pre op diet and about 17lbs of that since the surgery. I have done well at losing the weight and I am pretty proud of myself, but I dont feel well right now.
getnthere 0 Posted June 4, 2010 I think you may need to call your DR. you may need to move off of liquids sooner than planned. The problems you are talking about are probally brought on by the rapid weight loss.
honk 780 Posted June 5, 2010 How long were you on blood thinners? I am being treated for a blood clot using blood thinners. I definately have trouble with feeling cold. This was a HUGE issue during the winter.
joecs1 4 Posted June 5, 2010 I saw the DR yesterday and she said the chills are common with the weight loss. She started me on mushies today. I had scrambled eggs....mmmm. my weight loss has been very good. I am down to 276lbs. For that I am so happy. Hopefully I get my stregnth back and my body starts to regulate the temp a lil better. although its summer and feeling cool wont be so bad.
