I had my first fill yesterday as well. WOW.. he put in 2ccs and I found out that I had ome Fluid already in there from the surgery. I could tell a difference. It was WEIRD drinking the Water after the fill and at first it gurgled and sat in my throat and I was thinking it would not go down, but it did. I have to sip small amounts at a time.

I am STARVING myself and was told to do pudding like textures for a couple days, then I can go to mushies and slowly add in food. I am going to stick with Soups etc and sunday, try some eggs.< /p>

Hi!

I think everyone is different, I was given 5.4cc in a 10cc band, and I was told the same thing! What I did was to eat things that were liquid to mushy. Two days after the fill I ate regular food, great restriction but it lasted all of 3 days~ So just go with what your body is telling you but definitely try to stick what the doc told you as close as possible~

Good luck!

Sandee

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
