iwannabealoser 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Hello everyone! I am Jessica, 22, and from Florida. I just started this journey although have been wanting to for a year or so. I am currently setting up all my plans for getting the band in Mexico with Dr.Aceves. Very nervous and excited at the same time. The process is going so fast! We are in the process of getting financing and I am trying to set a date for early July depending on a few variables. Would LOVE to have a band buddy if anyone else is in a similar position  Also, I am not sure how to check messages on here but I am working on it hehe. girl55 5 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm so glad to see you do this at an early age. I'm 54 and was banded march 16 (self pay). It's the best thing I've ever done. Life is so much more enjoyable. And you have a lot of life to live. Good luck and keep in touch.
iwannabealoser 0 Posted June 2, 2010 Thank you so much! I am honestly somewhat embarrassed that I am so young and already need this but I am just trying to not think about that because I know I need this and as much as I would like to think I can change by myself, I DO need help. Hoping for a July 1st or July 13th date :-) so excited
girl55 5 Posted June 2, 2010 Don't be ashamed of having lap band at your age. I was in the same situation at your age. I only wish I had this tool back then. Life would have been so much more pleasurable. I would have done so many things differently. I'm proud of you for doing this now. You will learn how to eat right and comfortably with the band. It's not as stringent as some say. Take it one day at a time and lose that weight now. . . . And enjoy life!

Why would you think he wont let you have it? I too am a mommy of twins :-) How old are yours? Its crazy, I barely gained any weight with the pregnancy, but after I delivered, I was so use to "eating for three", that it was hard to stop. Ive gained a little over 40 lbs since i delivered them. Wishing you the best of luck with this journey! My fingers are definently crossed for you!
