Overeating and feeling SOO uncomfortable!

Recommended Posts

A few times now in the last week I have eaten so much that I can barely even move around! I am well over a year post op and am 5.5 months prego. I eat and feel fine and then when I get up I realize "OH BOY". This pain/discomfort lasts for HOURS! By the time I am hungry again it still hurts so I have to be really picky about what to eat at that point.

Just needed a vent I guess. I know it is wrong of me to be eating this way and have completely recognised the problem and told my hubby about it.

I just like to check back in with the board once in a while

I know what you mean. I am 1yr 3mo. post op and some times I eat like that and I'm not pregnant. It has gotten really bad lately, it's like I have forgotten everything that I am supposed to be doing. I think I need a fill and for the Dr. to give me all the rules again. I still need to loose 30lbs and I want to start trying for another child in the fall.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
