Firecallie 2 Posted November 21, 2005 I think that's what they are called anyway. The strips that you are supposed to let fall off on their own (I think they are like stitches).
HarleyNana 10 Posted November 21, 2005 After a couple of soapy showers and the final few came off at Dr's office for first check up.
Spydr 0 Posted November 21, 2005 I had surgery ont Wednesday and the strips on 2 of my cuts have fallen off. It's tempting to want to pull them off but I don't. I have a post op visit on Wednesday and I hope Dr Jay will take the others off so I know how things are healing.

HeatherGurl 0 Posted November 21, 2005 My Dr. said that I could remove them after 10 days if they had not come off yet... call your Dr.'s office to be sure.

bandayed 0 Posted November 21, 2005 I had them for my surgery and 2 csections as well and they never really came off. I start by trimming the loose edges as they lift and eventually they mostly came off -- maybe 2 weeks though. There was one part that was stuck in a little scab where I had some leakage and when I removed it it took the scab too and now my scar is wider and bumpy there so BE CAREFUL. If it seems attached to the wound itself, I would keep the curling up edges trimmed back and just let it dry up and fall off itself........With my csections they never came off -- I removed them. JAYGERL05 0 Posted November 22, 2005 My doctor told me if my bandages came off the sterile strips in the shower to put new bandages over them, so that is what I did everyday for 2 weeks, during my check up he took them off.
