Obviously you're doing something right, you've lost 60 lbs, but for me, I couldn't imagine eating a sandwich period, omg, the thought of two slices of bread, together makes me want to head for the sink, LOL. Although, the thought of tasting that sandwich makes me go yummmm.

No bread for me, the thought of getting that golf ball feeling scares me.

Soup and salad old girl here.

~C~Anytime you drink or eat liquids(soup) with other more solid foods... it washes your food through your pouch quickier.. in turn you feel more hungry sooner and eat more throughout the day. It is very hard but never drink and eat at the same time.

To know if you need a fill eat only solids for a while and write down what you are consuming. Then you can figure how much you are eating at one time/how long is it after you eat do you feel hungry again? Then you can determine if you need a fill! Always eat Protein first then vegetables then staches or carbs if you are still hungry! Hope this helps and makes since.

Is this your first fill or have you had other fills already?

By the way Great job on your weight lose thus far. you seem to be cutting back on your eating somewhere for to have lost 60 pounds!!!

i have had about 4 fills.I haven't lost weight in a long time.I don't exercise either.I know if i exercised it's logical that since i am not gaining OR losing i would get the scale moving with exercise right???

This is my problem. Not sure if i eat too much or just need to move more.

The answer (even though i don't want to face it:))is to start exercising and see what the results bring...

geez writing it down sure makes the problem crystal clear huh! :(

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
