Okay so I am 4 days post op. Everything has been going great

but today I noticed if I bend down to tie shoe or sit in a weird position

it feels like something near my ribs gets stuck for a second and then

if I sit up or adjust myself I can feel it unflick or get un stuck. I don't

think I am explaining what I am feeling. If anyone knows what I am

talking about please help! I have a feeling it is my port getting

caught on something. I am not exactly sure where my port is at this

point. My follow up appt is june 8. I am just wondering if I should call

my doctor. It is not painful or anything. Just annoying.

The only other thingis now my peeing is weird since surgery. What

I mean is in order to pee I have to concentrate and force it out, where

as before I would just start peeing and my bladder would automatically

push it out. The hospital determined I was peeing plenty. I know I

sounding but that is the only way I know to explain. Advice please!!!!

My husband had that issue with peeing for a lil bit after surgery. It went away within a week.

What you're feeling sounds like your port. I get the same thing and had a hard time describing the feeling...but that definately describes it. And I know mine is my port.

Congratulations! On your new journey!

From what you are describing it is your port:cursing:, give it sometime it needs to heal, I had the same issue with burning sensation.

As for your pee, did you have a cath put in? What you may want to do to go back to a regular flow is the next time you have to go, put your hand in some warm Water. this will get your bladder back to it where it needs to be. (this is an old army trick and it worked for me, when I had a C section)

Good luck

I agree, it sounds like a port issue .. I had the same unexplainable sensation for about 3 weeks after my surgery.

Now 7 months later, the only problem is my port feel HUGE (externally)now that I have lost weight .

Hang in there- the first week a a real eye opener for most of us.. remember , this is part of your lifestyle change .

I get the same thing. It is the port. I also have some issues with some of my pants, if they hit right in that area. I hope it stops being so obvious, that I get used to it because right now it is uncomfortable.
