Maybe a TMI question but i need to know

Hi, I'm very new here and have looked but can't figure out where to put this question so please move it if this is the wrong spot.

I've decided to get the band done but not until August. we're going away for the month of July and having it done the second week of Aug would give me 3 weeks to recover before i have to head back to work in Sept.

my problem is that my AF is very unpredictable because of my weight and i've never had surgery before so what happens if AF comes at the time of my surgery date? does this interfere with getting it done or do we just go ahead?

nope....doesnt interfere at all. I was on my period when I got my ban and they jsut made me where this huge hospital pad....so don't stress about it! congratulations on your decision!!

I wore a tampon during my surgery....no problem. (banded 5/21)
