Anndallei 0 Posted November 21, 2005 The good news: I've lost about 33 pounds since Sept 6th. The bad news: I had my first fill on Oct. 25th but I have not lost any weight since...actually gained 3 pounds! Do you think it's too early to ask for another fill? My restriction does not feel any different than after my surgery and I've actually started getting the I'm hungry now! sensation which scares me to death! I don't want to go back to that! Any advice welcome, pam
the best me 6 Posted November 21, 2005 http://lapbandtransformation.com/Adjustments.htm Check out this link to be sure, but if your fill isn't working, sure, get another! Some folks talk about a fill "kicking in" after a week or two. But if it doesn't, or hasn't, maybe it's time. Check out that link and tell us what you think. It's very helpful to me. You are sooooo close to being under 300, girl! Way to go!!!!!!
Anndallei 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Jessie works at my doctor's clinic and she's the one who did my fill! I have her book, guess I should read it again!!! Glad you mentioned it. I am so close to being below 300...that would be awesome! I just have to keep positive, I'm doing very well for the most part (I haven't eaten any fast food since banding) but I do tend to eat softer foods more often then I probably should. Looks like it's time for me to do a critical evaluation of what I'm eating. Thanks, pam
Parvathi 2 Posted November 21, 2005 I'd say you've waited long enough for it to kick in. I saw my dr once a week until we found a decent restriction. Definitely helped keep me going in the right direction. Good luck
Guest j. lynn Posted November 21, 2005 No, it's not too early. I recommend waiting about 3 weeks if it's pretty clear you have no restriction. If it's iffy, I recommend waiting 4 weeks or at least through one menstral cycle. I never recommend having them only 2 weeks apart. It takes time to get good restriction (3-5 fills sometimes), so you need to get started on that road. jayme
