Just wanted to share my 2 new fur babies with you...

Hubby rescued them from the wild/stray cats that have made a home under a shed in our factory...there were 4 babies but he could only get 2 , we will keep them they are adorable..He has been trying to catch the other 2 to get them a good home but I think the Mother must have moved them because he hasn`t seen them for a couple of days ...Poor babies ...

Any way here ar SMOKEY and the BANDIT, our new family members..(The birds are Jealous and would gladly peck their eyes out ...:), so I can`t nurse them while I have the birds out but they are o.k just to be in the same room (just not on Mum:blink:) they are also the same with Zeus (dog) they will go to bit him if I pat him ...Dam Parrots think they are HAWKS...:mad2::cursing:

:wub:Yes Carol they are adorable....we have always had cats and dogs .. we inherited my daughters dog Zeus (a big white Samoyed) when her relationship broke up , she is now tripping around the world and we have a dog..LOL he is a big furry baby too...

Got into Parrots about 10 years ago ...so we have 2 Parrots too...

We had not planned on getting ANY MORE pets once the birds and Zeus had gone but Joe the big softie just had to rescue these little guys how could he not , just look at their faces...He keeps beating himself up thinking about the two he couldn`t catch and now the Mother cat has moved them and he doesn`t know where..:smile:

Goodnigh I am off to bed with a book and you have a wonderful Saturday ..

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
