Yep!

I don't think I'm at perfect restriction yet (close...real close) so if I eat too fast or take too big of bites, I can feel the food going through. I'm uncomfortable for about 5 minutes and then the feeling passes.

YES!!! and isn't it the strangest feeling? I am almost 7 months out, and I have pretty decent restriction, but when I forget what I am eating, or forgot how I need to eat now, I can feel the pain....and then the long slow process of that food slowly moving through my band.

I guess this is just a not-so-subtle reminder to take smaller bites, watch what you eat, and take your time when eating!

Best Wishes to all!

I feel that when I eat too fast! It definitely is my reminder to chew! I have taught myself to sit the food or the utensil down between bites. This way I don't 'shovel' food in & I'm conciouse of wether or not I've thoroughly chewed my food, swallowed, & am actually ready for the next bite! It feels like a very dry sponge is squeezing thru when I take a big bite! Anyone at the table can tell by my expression that its uncomfortable. =/ It sort of ruins my appetite for a while which can bee a good thing! I love it bc I really still need a physical upset to be mindful of my eating. Thankfully it passes in minutes.

I also get this feeling and it has only come after my last fill< i was wondering if this is restriction? I have never had it happen before and I am on my 5th fill last week.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
