6months , 7 fills, is this right

Recommended Posts

I am just over 6months post op, I have now had a total of

7 1/4cc put in to my band, will I ever get that full feeling?

I can eat more than the 4 ozs they say you should eat. I had a fill on Tuesday, I went in to panic mode on Wed, thought maybe it was too full, so he took out, 1/2 cc, Now I am not sure where I am at. I definitely have to chew good or food sticks, but if I chew I can eat a lot. Is it possible I stretched my band? I have been patient and only lost 20#s which I lost in the first 2 months, nothing more, I just go up 2 and down 2 etc. Any suggestions:mellow:

I often eat more than 4oz of food. How often do you work out? are you getting all your Water? Protein first helps me to get full..... some people have to get a full band to have restriction we are all so diffrent. what are you cals. for the day? too much or too little can stall weight loss.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
