nickie456 0 Posted November 18, 2005 Well I had surgery over three months ago. Everyday since surgery I've been telling my self to go join a gym, and start exercising. I did it today. I joined the gym. Now I just have to make myself go and exercise

Cheri 0 Posted November 18, 2005 Way to go! I have been a member of the Y for over a year - now if I would actually go! I used to go three days a week, but, over the summer, they changed the rules concerning children at the gym. My little ones go to the nursery. My bigger one is no longer allowed to go in the nursery with them, but she is not allowed in the classes or workout rooms either!!! How's that for stinky!?!?!?!?! Guess I could go during the day since she's in school, but the whole not being allowed to take her is such a GREAT excuse!!haha Good Luck - I know you can do it, and just wait until you see the results from working out - hot mama alert!!! ~cheri
ReneBean 3 Posted November 19, 2005 Go Nickie!! I have only been going for a couple of weeks, but I am starting to notice a difference in my energy levels - and I have lost 8 lbs... Treadmill, bike & eliptical........... It's not what I would call FUN - but, it isn't too horrid after the first couple of times. Good Luck!!
Parvathi 2 Posted November 19, 2005 Congrats, Nickie. If you're anything like me, getting there the first week and a bit will be tough, but after that, it becomes habit. Now I feel horrible when I miss it. I enjoy exercising for the first time in my life and it makes my mood for the day good Good luck with it all and know that if ya need a kick to get back on track, that's what we're here for LOL. Debutantex 0 Posted November 19, 2005 Congratulations! You may have to kick yourself some days to go, but once it's done and over you feel SO much better. I try to swim when I get a chance and it makes me feel so good.
