Karenwinpa 1 Posted May 12, 2010 :smile2: I have finally made it, I have been waiting since fall of 2008 for my surgeon to get his Center of Excellance so my insurance would pay for my surgery....Well yesterday I got the word, and I am moving ahead with all of my paperwork and doctors appts. I am so excited I can't stand it, it couldn't have come thru at a better time I have been dieting and losing very little because my son is getting married next May. Now I am ready. woo hoo I am so happy for you! I know just how you feel. For different reasons, I started my journey October 08 and just got banded April 7, 2010. Manda87 3 Posted May 13, 2010 Did you lose any weight while you were waiting? You probably could have lost a good deal of weight during the year and a half you were waiting with frequent visits with your doctor and a nutritionist. I lost 5 pounds on my own before my pre-op diet. Though, it is easier to lose weight with the band than without out it... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
