leroyspuds 0 Posted May 12, 2010 This question is for folks who are eating normal foods now. What foods do you have trouble eating with the band? No matter how hard I try I cannot eat yams -- kills me everytime.

illuminationlady 7 Posted May 12, 2010 Nothing really bothers me unless I eat too fast. Bummer about the yams. I bake yams all of the time for me and DH.
lauragshsu 6 Posted May 12, 2010 Breads . I can eat them, but I have to take teensy bites, and chew until it almost disolves.
Teri9672 0 Posted May 12, 2010 french fies, hamburgers, skin from potato and spaghetti:drool:
Mickey527 0 Posted May 12, 2010 bread, Orange membranes, green Beans, sometimes brocolli. I don't even try oranges any more, that was the worst, I do keep trying bread since I am such a carbo-holic. Last night I went to red Lobster and I was able to eat one of those garlic rolls without any problem, which is good but then again bad. I took 2 home for tonight with my leftovers. christine1182 48 Posted May 12, 2010 So far with 7cc in my band I can eat pretty much everything I want to eat....but I do have problems if I try and eat to fast or take that last bite of food......
jre1974 0 Posted May 12, 2010 I have 4cc right now, so I'm not at optimum restriction yet, but so far, i haven't found anything that I can't eat. As long as i take small bites and chew it very well, I'm fine.
JennBand08 0 Posted May 12, 2010 eggs were the only one that I wasn't expecting to get stuck on. Scrambled eggs just WILL NOT go down. I can do Egg salad later in the day.. but never in the morning. I can't do many foods in the morning though. Even oatmeal or cottage cheese will get stuck sometimes. Typical foods I avoid: bread cake potatoes ( darn! love them) tortillas shrimp crackers re-heated chicken overcooked meat
MsFab1988 275 Posted May 12, 2010 hard meat and chineese food :smile2: but I'll live
mominkansas 2 Posted May 12, 2010 This question is for folks who are eating normal foods now. What foods do you have trouble eating with the band? No matter how hard I try I cannot eat yams -- kills me everytime. Yams are hard because they are stringy. I have a hard time with artichoke hearts and asparagus for the same reason. Also have trouble with most meats, bread, and eggs off the top of my head.
