I got a .5cc unfill this morning for my cruise. EEK! I can DEFINITELY feel the loss of restriction, so i'm going to have to practice some serious self-control. I got the unfill because I'm afraid of retaining Water and becoming so restricted I can't swallow my own spit. I'll try to be good!

thanks everyone, puddinpie, teresita for all your ideas. I am really restricted, so it is really hard to eat all that you guys can eat. I did try lean cuisine chicken and Beans, got thru a few bites, couldn't keep it down. Then yesterday I put it in my magic bullet blender, had some for lunch, it was ok, but some still came back up. I lost 2 lbs. this week just from trying different foods, not just ricotta cheese or cottage cheese. Your thread is inspiring me to eat more variety, and I really appreciate it. I love Curves, and for my crazy schedule, it works best for me.

Thanks again.

Whoa Rosann! Now I know what you need - a little unfill! If you have to blend things up before you eat them it's no wonder you're not eating as well as you want or you're not satisfied so you blow it later. I know it seems counter-productive, but maybe an unfill would help you to make better food choices because you could actually keep the healthy food down.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
