fritty 0 Posted May 6, 2010 Sooo... I had surgery on Monday (it's now Wednesday). Saturday until today, I was on purely Clear Liquids. I weighed myself this morning and I haven't lost ONE pound. Is that just because I'm still all bloated and puffy from the surgery? Was it dumb for me to weigh myself so soon?? Will it start to come off again?? I'm probably just being impatient... k-baby 0 Posted May 6, 2010 I think we all get seduced by the scales - especially after the initial excitement when they start going down - but it is frustrating when they get stuck in one spot :bored: I think you have answered your own questions already - post op is a funny time and our bodies do take time to heal. I would guess that you are still pretty bloated and may well be retaining Fluid, will probably get constipated etc - fun times :-) My advice - try and be patient - which can be really really hard. Day to day feels like a snail pace but in hindsight the past year and past 100lbs have gone by really quickly. I wish you the very best of luck on your journey. vlp1968 83 Posted May 6, 2010 Yes, you are probably bloated. I think they put saline in the iv at the hospital. I didn't loose much the first couple weeks, then bam 8 pounds. Hang in there. Try to stay off the scale except for once a week. The flucuations will drive you crazy.
