browneyedgirl52 0 Posted April 29, 2010 Hello to everyone, Im new here and new to this whole process. I'm currently just starting through the whole process that is required by my insurance. I had my first nutrition class this morning with 5 more to go over 5 months. I am very excited to have the opportunity to do this in order to help me to become more healthy. I look forward to meeting new people here and hearing about thier journey.
dld 0 Posted April 29, 2010 Hi I am also starting the requirements for insurance. Can't wait to finish the whole procees. Do you have to do a 6 month diet as well?
afosterchild 0 Posted April 30, 2010 Hi Everyone, I'm also new here and wanted to introduce myself to everyone. This is my first time in the forum so I'm just trying to learn my way around. I live in Nevada and I just had my first session with the nutritionist yesterday (Wednesday 4/28) as my insurance company wants me to to 6 months of supervised nutrition first. I've only lost 2 pounds on the diet she gave me (which i'm really not following anyway-just doing some walking around the park), but it just makes me even more determined to do the lapband, which i calculate will be sometime in October. The nutritionist tells me to just be patient. I'll be using this time to get more acquainted with the procedure and I hope to meet some new friends along the way.
dld 0 Posted April 30, 2010 I am located in Texas and also new to this process.Good Luck on your journey. I should be finished with all of my requirements around september or october. What insurance do you have?
browneyedgirl52 0 Posted April 30, 2010 Hi, I too will be ready around September or October. I have BC/BS and they require me to do 6 months of what I call "jumping through the hoops". I'm not upset about that though, because it will give me a foundation for proper eating habits and better food choices for a lifetime. Good luck to you also on your journey
browneyedgirl52 0 Posted April 30, 2010 I have a six month requirement from my insurance too. I have BC/BS and have to do nutrition and life style classes. Like I said before, it will give me a foundation for a better way of life.
