Stuck in a bad place

Recommended Posts

I don't know if I am even on the right forum or not, but I have a problem that I hope someone can shed some light on..

I had the lap band surgery 2 years ago in May, and I have not lost a significant amount of weight yet.

I did have some issues with a hiatel hernia that was fixed during surgery but my issue seems to be that I am always eating.

I have 8 cc in a 10 cc band and I still am eating. I can't seem to move past 260lbs.. I started out at 295... I know that I have to eat Protein and work out and I do at least 4 times a week, but my question is how I am only eating 800-1000 calories and working out and burning 200-400 a day, but am not losing weight?

I don't know what else to do.. I m frustrated and upset... Whatever I do is not working.. I am stalled and can't seem to jumpstart weight loss at any cost... I just don't want to get so emotional that I start to eat my feelings...

Any suggestions?

If you are working out daily, you should probably consume more than 800-1000 calories per day. I would add at least 2 Protein Snacks a day for a week and see if that jump starts the weight loss again. When you are active, your body needs more calories. My coach potato behind (absent from the gym for 2 weeks) could do the 800-1000, but if you are moving and working out, you need more.

I work out daily, and need to stick to 800-1000 to lose. Everyone is different.

That said, be sure you're being very honest with yourself about how much you're eating. At the beginning of your post, you state

my issue seems to be that I am always eating.
, but then go on to say that you're only getting 800-1000 calories.

Are you journaling your intake someplace like fitday.com? Do you measure or weigh your servings? What foods are you eating? (Are you getting adequate lean Protein? Avoiding refined carbs?)

If you post a couple days' worth of menus, I bet you'd get great feedback
