girl55 5 Posted April 16, 2010 Go for it girl! I too am a texas girl. i had my surgery march 16 and have lost 26 lbs. since. Surgery was not so bad. after 5 days i was back to my old self, except i couldn't eat everything. was on liquids for a week and a half, after that i started mushies, like potatoes, cream of wheat, lots of crystal light, (love it). after 2 and half weeks, my doctor let me start on reg. food. I don't eat sweets, bread, Pasta and don't drink carbonated bev. But I don't really miss any of it. when you start a meal, try to eat Proteins first, then veggies, by the time you get through to the veggies, your full. REALLY! So far i'm really pleased with my progress, i listen to my stomach, not my head and taste buds. when i feel full, i stop eating. You are young and i know you can do it. I too found a lot of friends and supporters on this site, and if we can help you, just say the word. Good luck.
