7Nakincy 0 Posted April 14, 2010 I've lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. I haven't seen any scale movement in 5 days. Should I be worried.
juliansmom2003 3 Posted April 14, 2010 Not at all. Actually, I hate to say this, but you will experience many plateaus throughout this journey. Keep in mind that you are taking a lot less calories in and your body learns to expect this and reacts by holding onto calories (starvation mode). You can trick it by fluctuating (i.e. 800 one day, 1000 the next) and it should help to jump start your metabolism (that's what works for me). Be sure if you're exercising to figure that in, as you need to be sure you're getting enough calories in that your body isn't sliding into starvation mode. Hope I wasn't too confusing LOL
vlp1968 83 Posted April 14, 2010 My suggestion is to not get on the scale so much- there will be flucuations from day to day. I weigh myself once a week. If I weighed more often I know I would be dissapointed anytime the scale didn't move, or God forbid went up. Best wishes!

oceancity4me 0 Posted April 14, 2010 I have to agree with the others...9 pounds is great for 2 wks. There will be times you will have plateau's unfortunately. I do too. One of these days soon you will get on that scale and have another good weight loss! Good Luck
