My Fitness Pal Food Nutrition Tracker

Recommended Posts

Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com

This is a great free program for counting calories, carbs, Protein and fat consumed during the day. It's very easy. A lot of folks don't believe in tracking this stuff but it helps me plan my menu and get enough of what I need.

Once on regular foods how many of these do you get per day, or what is your daily goal?

calories ____

protein ____

carbs ____

fat ____

I LOVE MyFitnessPal, as I am a firm believer in keeping track of my calories & stuff. It helps me to stay on track because I can look at my day and see exactly what where I "went wrong" and hopefully not repeat it.

I currently have mine set to 1200 calories, 75 Protein, and it automatically put in 135 carbs. I don't track the other stuff.

I use MyFitness Pal too. I started using it about a month ago. I don't know if you have noticed how to changed the percentages but I adjusted mine to suit my body. Everyone is different. I require a lot more Protein according to my surgeon and less carbs to lose. So I currently have it set at 40% carbs 50% protein and 10% fat. I have my calories set at 1400 but rarely do I get that many. Keep in mind too that when you log your exercise it will add available calories for that day.

I hope you like it as much as I do. It has really helped me focus on what I am eating and how much I am exercising.:smile2:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
