MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 14, 2005 Dr J seems to be a popular guy in the Dallas area right about now. MsJoy (my wife) is going in for her stress test tomorrow (12-15) and if that is good, Dr J's scheduler has her penciled in for the 28th. Dr J was really nice and his PA, Arlene (I think) was fantastic. She and I got into a "discussion" about doing hernia surgery at the same time as the lap band...LOL
Spydr 0 Posted December 14, 2005 Just got back from a fill with Dr Jay and he is great. He sat and talked about everything before we started, explained how and why things are done and never made me feel silly. He's a cool cat!
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 15, 2005 Spydr, MsJoy has her date, Dec 28th at 7:15 am at Pine Creek Medical Center, out off of Harry Hines. She did the stress test today and everything was fine, cleared for surgery.
Spydr 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Sounds like MsJoy will be the first of the day. I went to Medical City Dallas and was in by 6:15a, surgery at 7:15 and I was home by 1p. Good deal!
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 15, 2005 Works for me, we'll have a two hour drive to get back home. I guess I can tie her over the front fender like a field dressed deer. What do you think? *grin*
Spydr 0 Posted December 16, 2005 I think you sound like one of my cousins, a good ole boy from the South!
cauerba 0 Posted December 16, 2005 I am originally a good old girl from the east, now from Texas
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 16, 2005 You're both right...I'm from southeast Texas! Actually, I was thinking of having her a nice comfy pillow and maybe an air mattress in the back of the Explorer. She could climb in and nap all the way home. What do you think?
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 16, 2005 We live in a little bitty town about halfway between Houston and Dallas.
cauerba 0 Posted December 16, 2005 She will be fine, no need for mattress. It is easier to sit up actually. C

Spydr 0 Posted December 16, 2005 MyKds - If you don't mind, what itty bitty town is that? I may surprise you with where I'm from.
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 16, 2005 Well, it starts with an F and it is right on Interstate 45. Ring a bell?
Spydr 0 Posted December 16, 2005 That would be Ferris? I have paid a traffic ticket or 2 there! I'm from Corsicana.
MyKdsDad 1 Posted December 16, 2005 I told my wife I should have added, "and it isn't Ferris." I live in Fairfield, but I was born in the old Corsicana Hospital.
