I can't believe I'm posting this. Okay, Feels like I'm growing a penis...

Okay ladies, I'm far from my target weight; however, with my weight loss, my thighs aren't rubbing together as they once did. As a result, I swear I now feel that my privates are more prominant.

I can actually feel my privates while I'm walking. Nope, never felt this before the weight loss and it's kind of weird to say the least.

Please tell me I'm not the only one out there experiencing this.

Well, its not something I've experienced with, but it is understandable, do you think it could be something you will just get used to?

Have you grabbed a mirror and taken a look to reassure yourself that all looks normal down there? They are pretty ugly things to look at, lol, labia tend to be quite large, with the inner ones protruding.

You're not having any issues with dryness or anything (might be age/hormone related)? That can make you feel hyper aware of your bits.

Sadly, my thighs still rub together at this point, but when the time comes that they no longer do, I will see what it feels like for me... In fact, I can't honestly say that I remember a time when my thighs didn't rub together... I can't even imagine what it will feel like to walk without that uncomfortable rubbing sensation.

Jachut, everything is perfectly fine down there. I've never experienced dryness - thank goodness. DH says everything looks the same biggrin.gif. I think that the lips and overall exterior are flabby just like the botton half of my stomach.

I guess I need to find an exercise that will work to tighten the flabby skin in that area.

I have read that burning fat releases estrogen into your body, I wonder if that could be giving you some swelling?

when you lose weight, you lose it around that area too. I had a friend who said when her boyfriend lost weight it got bigger!

Plastic surgeons "tuck up the labia" just like they do your tummy. Some women have more flappy skin than others. Give it a year after weight loss to tighten up, if it doesn't after a year, then consider surgery to remove the extra skin. It's normal.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
