msustu 0 Posted March 28, 2010 Just curious how everyone is calculating how many grams of Protein you need each day . . . are you using your current body weight or your ideal body weight? My doctor is advising current body weight, but my dietitian is suggesting going off my ideal body weight. It's about a 30g difference, and that seems pretty significant. Thanks in advance! NCLisa 0 Posted April 6, 2010 My Dr. said that I need at least 50 grams of Protein a day, but he'd be happiest with 60. So that is my daily protein goal One week when I had the flu, I didn't get more than maybe 10 grams of protein a day for about 5 days, I lost a lot of hair about 2 weeks later.
