Hi friends - Has anyone else noticed if stress effects their band? On 2 occasions now when I've been stressed about something work related, I haven't been able to eat for a day or 2 before. Once the stressful moment passes I gradually feel much better. Anyone else feel this? Thanks.

Absolutly!!!!

I am a very stressed high anxiety person - especially at work where i feel like big brother is watching every singe move you make -- I find lunches very hard because of that and most of the time get stuck and am in pain - then I worry something is wrong why cant i eat -- it is a horrible cycle --

then i get home relax a bit and dinner goes down just fine ---

So yes.. i find stress affects my band and what i am able to eat on a god damn daily basis lol

Yes I do find that stress affects the band very much, as do hormones and where you are in your cycle. I also find if I haven't slept well my band can feel tight as well. It can be a finicky thing this band!

Yep, big stress affects me & my band, too. Stress and hormones.

Wow so if stress messes with the band I am surprised we all arent walking around too tight, I'm pretty sure everyone has stress going on in their life. This band is a hard one to figure out but I definitely notice right before that time of the month things are really tight then the next week back to normal Kind of hard to know when we hit that perfect restriction isn't it??? So much to learn :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
