are the hardest to get off! I have been stuck at the same weight (178 lbs) for a month. I don't know what to do.:) I still have good restriction and I do a lot of walking everyday. UGH...the scale is not moving. What should I do??

I have about 22 lbs to go and the scale isn't moving. I feel your pain. Have you tried mixing up your exercise routine or upping you calories for a day or two then lowering them for a day or two, to trick your body

Well, I'd definitely up the exercise from walking to far more vigorous cardio, things that are more interval style, with bursts of REALLY hard activity. Anything like circuit training, bootcamp etc would be great, with gentle running/walking on easier days.

Make sure you're eating how you know you should - calories, fat and carbs havent crept up etc. Everyone loses that vigilance and motivation over time.

Other than that, stay true to your goal and wait it out. It took me an entire year to lose the last 10lb. My weight loss just got slower and slower and slower till it stopped.

I agree with the "tricking your body" idea. I have read it really works. I also agree you need to up your excersise. That's great your walking! I would increase a notch or 2 so you really break a sweat. Maybe integrate periods of jogging during the walk? Or at least walk really fast intermittanly. Best of luck! Hang in there! That last bit of weight will come off!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
