Majj 0 Posted March 25, 2010 Well I had my FIRST painful experience tonight .... I was going to do curried chicken for dinner but decided to just cook up the chicken and cut up salad stuff and along with hommus and aoli spred flat bread and we had wraps ......YUM !!! everyone LOVED then my sister and my son came for dinner along with daughter and hubby ... I FORGOT that I should chew chew chew little mouthfuls .....like a RABBIT I was so hungry and looking forward to my first wrap since banding I must have swallowed an not so chewd up mouthful.. .At first I just sat quitely just waiting for the pain and the lump to go down...no such lucj took myself to the Loo and although I did not throw up I felt like I would feel better if I did ..I burped regurgitated a little and spat out , waited with sweat popping out on my face like I was in labor anyway I went and waited a bit and the pain went I continued VERY SLOWLY and CHEWED CHEWED CHEWED EVERY LITTLE mouthful and finished the wrap no problems ...I think it may have been a bit of Tomato skin or a bit of unchewed flat bread that clogged me for a bit but from NOW ON I am NOT going to forget to eat like a rabbit ...no matter how hungry I am...... LESSON LEARNED.................
DianaG 0 Posted March 27, 2010 Hi again, Just read your post about your Tuesday and planning on making the curry for dinner. Sure sounded good to me! Sorry you had that "stuck" experience. Unfortunately, I have been there also!:w00t: I read, on this forum, chewing up Papaya Enzyme whenever you have a "stuck&slimmy" episode. I found some at the local Walgreens Drug Store and bought 2 bottles:one for home and one in my purse. Sometimes I get a stuck feeling with the oddest things. Lately it has been prune juice....I guess I drink it too fast. Anyway, yesterday morning I commented to my DH that I couldn't figure out how I could get "stuck" on prune juice.....he replied "it's the pits"!! Then started laughing!!!! Oh well, I have always loved his sense of humor and soon was laughing myself!!! Sorry you had to go through that experience, but I imagine we all do it at some time or another...just hope your episodes are really spaced out!
Majj 0 Posted March 28, 2010 Thanks Diana, I hope not to have one again or at least not too often , it was something I definatley will not be looking forward to again..:w00t:..BUT at least I now know I have a band before that I had had no problems even after the operation , I was wondering if the actually put it in .... Its a Sunny Sunday here too hot a day for Autumn , I am relaxing with hubby and the birds ...We are going to place another possum or bird box in one of our trees later today ... I love watching the birds by day and I feed the scraps from my birds to the possums by night .... Hope your enjoying your weekend ... Marion.. Our Possums are cuter loking than the ones I have seen from the U.S.A... Here is a picture of a Mom with her baby... and one sitting on one of the logs we attach to the tree for either Birds or Possums to nest in...
ladykcusa 1 Posted March 30, 2010 Majj - Your possums are much, much cutier than in USA. Great pictures. We started this journey about the same time. You are braver than me, I have not tried a wrap. Fear still dictates much of what I try, but I know I need to branch out to learn to make friends with my band.
