itchy scars

Hi.. i'm 6 weeks out of surgery and my scars are itching me like crazy.. Does anybody have any ideas of what I can put on them to help stop the itch? They're driving me crazy.. LOL

Oh don't tell me this!! I'm only 8 days out and if I could just CLAW at my stomach, I'd feel so much better!

I had a rotten case of poison ivy last fall and got the equivalent of clear calamine anti-itch lotion. I've been putting it on regularly and it helps, although doesn't last a really long time. I still have some Dermabond on the incision sites, and some sticky residue from band-aids, so that is making it worse. I had no idea it would last for weeks, yikes!

i'm 12 days out, just had my stitches removed today, but my incisions have been itching like mad for days now. my doc said try putting some Vitamin E oil on them.
