jensmallwood 0 Posted March 24, 2010 That's my question! I'm having my first fill in a couple of weeks, at 12:30pm. Normally, I would eat lunch at that time (or around that time.) I'm assuming that I will be only on liquids after the fill. Can you eat right before getting a fill? I would think that would be a bad idea and that I might get sick if I did. How many hours before a fill do you think I can safely eat?
adagray 1 Posted March 24, 2010 I would eat a light lunch about one hour before your fill. If you want to play it really safe, stick w/soft foods or foods you know go down easily just to make sure your stoma is not irritated at all before the fill. I usually get my fills in the morning around 10am-ish and I always eat Breakfast before (like around 8:30). I have eggs or cottage cheese or yogurt... stuff I know goes down easy for me. Spartan 4 Posted March 24, 2010 ASK the Surgeon/Doctor/Whomever is going to give you your fill. Really. CALL them and ask.
