 I was so up last week for the hitting the one hundred pound mark, but I have not lost anything since then. I do excercise, ride the excercise bike around 7 miles each day, walk when I can, and I am not eating any differently, but thet scales will not move  I hope that things start moving again soon. My surgery was last April 9th and I want to hit below 300 by the 1 year anniversay, I still have 4 pounds to go and those scales will not cooperate. Any advice ????:confused:

What a great accomplishment so far! Congratulation on the 100 lb mark! Hang in there, I'm sure you've hit plateau's along the way. Just keep doing what you've been doing. GOOD LUCK!

I have read that varying your calories everyday can help. For example, eat 1200 calories one day, 900 another, 1500 another. The theory is it tricks your body because it doesn't know how many calories it will get. Also, changing up your excersise routine may help. Again, it tricks your body. When you do the same thing each day your muscles get used to it. Hope this helps!

I am going though this as well. I go down and then up the next morning. I've stepped it up at the gym, upped my Water, and written down EVERYTHING that I've eaten

Hi Mominkansas.. Congratulations on what you've accomplished so far... hard work, isnt it? I noticed that if I pay attention to my Fluid and protien intake it seems to help. I too have just recently hit the 100 lbs weight loss and have been hitting those plateau walls. I try to change things up here and there. Try not to do the same aerobic exercise all the time and try to hit different muscle groups. So if the treadmill or walking is your thing... try the elliptical or bike for a while - target different muscle groups... 'confuse' your body. The scale will start to move again... honest! Keep up the great work... you're doing awesome!

For me, changing exercise programs was the key. Also you might look at adding some band/resistance training.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
