Dry Heaves, how bad are they

Well here in Texas the spring allergy season is well under way. I have had so much stuff run down my throat today, that I have gagged. I dry heaved 5-6 times. Nothing ever came up. I am 12 days post-op. I have not vomited or had anything stuck as of yet. Just this today.

I empathize completely--when we lived in Houston, allergy season (and by "season," I mean much of the year!) was agonizing.

Ask your doctor about guaifenesin--plain Mucinex or Robitussin. (Banded, Robitussin's easier; it's liquid or gelcap instead of pressed tablet). For me, it really loosens secretions so that they don't gag/choke me.

Yes, Mucinex WILL help! I take one every night--it goes down OK with no problems! I can tell when I don't take it too! Try it! Good Luck!
