Hello, My name is Laurie:smile:

I had my surgery on Thursday, today is the first day I feel pretty good, its a bit bumpy (o.k. really bumpy) at first, but I am so happy I did it!

I'm pleased to find this forum, my doc has a support group but it is only once a month, and is a bit of a drive for me.

I'm glad to be here and looking forward to meeting some of you:smile:

This board is a great place to come for support. There are some very nice people here and a lot of advice but always listen to your Doctor first.

I wish you good luck with the band. I am 8 months out now and have had no problems at all. I am down 60 lbs. Would be happy to talk to you anytime

Yes I always listen to the Doc, emotionally though, a once a month meet just isn't enough with all the newness of learning how to work with my band.
