Danistar 0 Posted November 9, 2005 Hi Amos, I think I answered you on another thread. Soft breads are really hard to eat and should not be eaten in the mushy stage. The flour is so sticky that it is said to cause terrible problems because it gets clogged down there. So don't eat any. I have read that many people can no longer tolerate bread and muffins and pancakes. I have also read that sometimes a person can eat whole wheat toast, if done very slowly and carefully. We make our own whole wheat bread and it is really delicious, but I have to chew and chew and chew and then eat very slowly. You can get too much down there in a blink of an eye and then suffer the consequences. I just want to stress that breads cannot be eaten until you are totally healed and on a normal diet. You can puree anything, I liked mashed potatoes with a soft boiled egg, and cottage cheese with fruit smushed to a soft goo. I also liked to get one of those thick Campbell Soups and puree that. Then you get all of the flavor.
