PalmBayTish72 4 Posted March 17, 2010 I am going in for my first post-surgery fill today, so I am wondering how the doctors determine how much to put into your band. When I was banded, he said he initially put in 2 cc's in my band, but I have no restriction essentially. My surgery was on 2/23 and I would like him to give me a "good" fill, but I just don't know how that is determined. I know I can't expect to hit the sweet spot straight out of the gate, but are there questions I should ask him (aside from this one!). I just wanted to know how it went with your experiences in the first fill. Thanks in advance!
JJLaw08 4 Posted March 17, 2010 I got my first fill yesterday, and he put 4.2 cc in. He didn't put any in during my surgery. It was under fluro, and I don't think he numbed it because it hurt pretty badly. It only took maybe 5 minutes total, and it did feel a little weird with the stuff going in. I am STARVING today. Is this normal? I have to be on liquids for 2 days then mushies for 2 days, but I am really hungry today. I got some EAS shakes that have 25g of Protein, and those things are nasty. I'm going to drink them because they were expensive, but they are gross. Anyway, I knew I should have got the Atkins ones, but oh well. Sorry for my rant.
