Kelleigh710 0 Posted March 23, 2010 Hi, I am in the PRICING phase right now,,,on the home page of this thread it said we can get banded for 4500.00, and they would compete with any price. I was offered 9999.00 by strax here in ft lauderdale fl...can anyone help me with how I can get the procedure for the 4500.00 that was mentioned? Thanks, and happy for all of you... The price you saw for $4500.00 is Dr. Mario Almanza down in TJ, Mexico. No joke, that's really his price. You can see his website at www.alighterme.com I was considering him at one time, but I decided to go with Dr. Rodolfo Natera at Star Medica Hospital in Juarez, Mexico because I prefer a full service hospital with an ICU, blood bank, etc. It's a little more expensive (I'm paying $6500.00) but I feel its worth it. Almanza works at Jerusalem Hospital which is an outpatient facility. Dr. Natera's website is www.drnatera.com but I went through Medical Tourism Company to facilitate everything. Good luck on your pricing search!
pasleyprk 0 Posted March 25, 2010 Hi everyone! I was recently banded on 3/5 and have lost 15 pounds so far but I am running into a bit of trouble. I am getting hungrier. Is this normal? When do you normally get your first fill?

confusion182 0 Posted March 25, 2010 Hi palseyprk, I'm scheduled for my first fill in 4 weeks, which would be about 6 weeks post op. As Itsforlife said, every doctor is different. As for hunger, are you still doing the liquid diet? You can always try one of the pre-made Protein shakes. I like taking those with me, because I can drink them and go, plus I'll be full for about 2 hours (depending on what I'm doing). Milk is also good, if you can drink it. Hope this helps!
