Majj 0 Posted March 15, 2010 Feeling GR88888888888888888888T , Lost 2kilos in the 2 weeks on mushies.... AND I CAN EAT NORMAL FOODS NOW........Yeah !!! I came home and had 3 cruskits with low fat cheese spread , it was so much better than having yogurt, I like Yogurt BUT after 2 weeks I wanted a change.... FOR dinner I managed 1/4 salmon fillet ,1 potato 4 asparagus spears a spoon of Quinoa (instead of rice) and am as full as a goog, a bread and butter plate and I couldn`t finish it ....I was so looking forward to it real food after 5 weeks and thought I could demolish the lot no problems ...But thats great proves to me the band is working even though I don`t have a fill yet.. I am Booked for Tuesday 6th April (Easter Tuesday) for my first fill............3 weeks ... I told the dietitian I was going to have a Easter egg to Celebrate ... will be my first chocolate since February and I LOVE CHOCOLATE......... Can you tell I feel very very HAPPY ....... Teeli 0 Posted March 15, 2010 You sure "sound" happy enough! LOL. You go gal!I bet it is good to taste all those different tastes in one meal! Instead of a conglomeration of everything. I am having problems with the mushies still...or with anything other than liquids. Thank goodness there's only a week to go until I see the surgeon again........
Majj 0 Posted March 16, 2010 (edited) Oh ! yes I was extreamly happy to have ameal like the rest of the family , I was a bit dissapointed I couldn`t eat it all after looking forward to it , BUT I was also happy to discover the band is actually there and I was FULL ...I have had no problems whatsoever in eating the mushies and felt I didn`t even have a band but I discovered I DO... I am sorry your having a tough time with mushies ...maybe you had a lot of swelling after the operation and its taking time to reseed....Just be patient and do exactly as your doctor/dietitian says.... At least the weight is coming off , you are doing GREAT.... Marion:thumbup: Edited March 16, 2010 by Majj typo
Teeli 0 Posted March 16, 2010 Hi Marion....I think we BOTH deserve a pat on the back for our weight loss! Doesn't it seem strange to see that needle coming DOWN?I am so used to it going up.... Spoke with the surgeon today, he rang me in response to an email I sent yesterday, and he is very perplexed.Has told me to take Mylanta or Losec and record the result each time to help him pin point what is wrong. He is making extra time for me next Tuesday to try and solve this issue- he has never come across it before. DUH, just my usual luck to be the one weird one.He says it should not happen with the hiatal repair done at the same time...oh well.. we will find out next week I guess.Thank you for your encouragement. (As you see, I have changed my ticker info, but I still don't know HOW... each time I have to set it all up once again....being a bear of very little brain, I guess that's about par for the course, eh.)
