Totally. If you are exercising daily, you definately could be losing inches, but not pounds per se....That is what i am going through too and I love it...My wt loss has been slow, but the inches are melting off..I cycle daily and what a change...i have went from a 2x down to a large and i attribute this to biking as I have only been banded since DEC 18th, 2009 and my weight loss has been slow....onenuttynurse

same here--I have lost about 18 since surgery--but my clothes are fitting differently. Unfortunately could not find the tape measure to get my measurements pre-op, so I have no way of gauging how many inches

Yes -- when I started working out, I plateaued for 6 weeks (which seems to be the norm when you're building muscle) and then started losing again really well! I did lose inches during that time.

BTW -- TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS!! Trust me, it feels so amazing to be able to count all of the inches you are losing! I am down more than three feet in inches. How crazy is that?! Be sure to take some pictures now if you didn't do before pics already. It's so easy to underestimate how great your progress is if you don't have anything to compare it to later. :frown:

Congrats on the inches lost! :frown:

I have lost a lot of inches for sure, going from a 22 to a 16 in jeans..sooo weird and cool at the same time. My BIM is down a whole lot as well. As far as the lbs I think and wish they were more but then again I do not exercise much. Actually hate it very much so I am still struggling to get into some kind of plan to drop more lbs.

Good Luck

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
