anyone denied cuz of stress test?

I've had my first appt w/ ekg and was told it was abnormal and i need to come in tomorrow for a stress test. now i'm freaked out that i won't be eligible if it's not good. but i need to lose some weight for my heart to work properly, right? Has anyone been declined for a bad stress test? And is there anything I can do to ensure it goes well?

i'm scheduled march 18.

The stress test is the next step for your cardiac clearance for the surgery. It's to make sure that you don't have any blockages or undiagnosed heart condition that would make the surgery too risky for you. My cardiologist did EKG, stress test, and Echocariogram before giving me clearance because I had boarder-line high blood pressure and a heart murmur. Try not to worry, it's all part of the process and for your own safety. As far as the test "going well" make sure you follow any prep instructions your doctor gave you
