Chobani Greek Yogurt - thick/filling, lots of Protein, non-fat, and decently low-cal...I like the vanilla, peach, blueberry and strawberry.< /p>

Jimmy Dean has fully cooked turkey sausage patties that are delish!! And you get two of them for 7 grams of fat 120 calories and 13 grams of Protein. I love that with eggs and a small amount of potato and salsa. Grits are delish too, or a small amount of Cereal w/skim milk. Zone Perfect's Protein Bars are really good too. Do you like yogurt? Honey flavored Greek yogurt with a spoonful or two of granola and fresh strawberry is to die for!! :) Whatever you choose just enjoy it while you can, I have been having problems since my last fill about a week ago. I can't really get anything down in the mornings except liquid so I have been drinking smoothie King smoothies. I miss my grits and eggs already!! :smile2:

It's not a breakfast food but I love it. I take canned chicken breast and chop it up real fine add olive oil mayo and mustard. 4 oz is about 160-180 cals and has 26 grams of Protein. If i feel I need more I add a couple of crackers and maybe some mozzarella cheese. It is a great protein breakfast.

I like to eat 1/2 cup of cherrios or Fiber one (both 100%whole grain) and a serving of canadian bacon. About 150 cals and 15 grams of protien. Sometimes I add 1/4c of strawberries or blueberries.

I add stuff to my eggs, different each week, and often do egg salad also. Usually I can only have a Protein drink for breakfast, but sometimes save scrambled eggs from Sundays for Monday/Tuesday lunches.

Scrambled eggs with 2-3 of the following:

thin sliced ham or turkey chopped

diced onions

diced green peppers

blended or whisked cottage cheese

shredded cheese

pre-cooked potatos (ie left overs)

chopped tomatos

I don't usually get tired of eggs this way, but also can't always eat much or swallow too early in the morning

Usually I have a choc Protein Shake with maybe some Peanut Butter and frozen banana slices in it. Mix it up with a little bit of ice to make it nice and cold. Then about a hour and a half, two hours later, I have either some yogurt with some flax seed in it or some steel cut oatmeal with a little bit of peanut butter in it. YUMMY. I love the oatmeal.

I have never been a breakfast eater, and have never liked yogurt, but I FINALLY found something that I LOVE!

I buy "carbmaster" yogurt, Kroger brand, from the grocery store. It is 80 cals and 12 grams of protein! I buy the vanilla flavor...

THEN, the best part, I buy fresh cut berries (strawberries, black, blue, and raspberries, pre-cut...NOT frozen!), and mix that into the yogurt with about 1/3 cup of low-fat granola cereal.

It is so wonderful! Sweet, filling, and HEALTHY!

I actually now prefer this "treat" for not only breakfast, but if I want dessert too. It's the only way I found to eat breakfast. The fresh berries are the key....frozen made me want to gag.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
