Anyone have any trouble with Beans of any kind? Just wondering if this would be a mistake to try...

I haven't had any trouble with Beans. They are a wonderful source of nutrition as well. They should go down quite well as they are soft.

Beans are good and good for you. They are full of Protein and gas. LOL Be sure to use some Beano on them. They go down well, just chew well and eat slowly. I have never gotten stuck off of beans.

How are you feeling? I just got off of the phone with my pre-op nurse. Dr. Spivak will be banding me on Wednesday morning. Just wondering how hard/easy it has been to adjust?

I can eat refried Beans, charro beans, pinto beans no problems. I have to be careful of chili w/ beans because of the ground beef mixed in with it. Haven't tried string beans because they have the little seeds inside them.

I'm feeling great! Once I got over my pneumonia, everythings going fine! It's been a little bit of an adjustment, and I've given up soda! Yea!

I go in for my 1st fill on the 21st and can't wait!

Please let me know how your surgery goes!

Happy surgery Heather! Congrats!

No problem with Beans of any kind...kidneys, limas, refrieds, pintos, chili, green Beans, northern bean Soup (isn't that sometimes called white bean Soup? ) is great, black beans, all of them...beans are great! Chew, chew chew.

I'm not a big bean fanatic, however, Bush's Baked Beans have been great. I just added them into my diet within the past two days, and so far no problems. They are a great addition, full of Protein and flavorful, too! My nutritionist suggested refried beans with a little non-fat sour cream and/or salsa without the chunks for a little something different. I was having a really hard time getting in enough protein before this point in the diet. Thank God I have been able to add in some "mushies"!

I truly think all the refried Beans and chili I ate so much of during early banding is what promoted so much muscle gain. I lived on Taco Bell refried beans and Wendy's chili the 2nd and 3rd months.

I take a bag of pintos and soak them overnight in Water. I rinse them well and make sure there are no rocks or dirts clumps in them. Then I put them in my crock pot and add water, about 1/2 full. (it was cover the Beans and have about 2 inches of water on top of them.) I cook them on low for about 4 hours and then add more HOT water and bump it up to high for the last 2 hours. For those that like meat, I sometimes add turkey ham cubed in the last 1/2 hour. These are a southern style "soup beans" They are sill mostly whole but sorta have the flavor of refried without the fat. If you want them thicker you can take a wisk and "mash" about 1 cup of the beans and add them back to the pot in the last hour. The protien will thicken the whole pot. ~Mandy

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
