I'm not sure but the Vitamins that I just bought from WalGreens, Finest Natural B Complex, has 833% of the recommended daily allowance of B12, plus a lot of other vitamins and minerals. So I think if you take the B Complex you should get both the B12 and the rest, and be energized! On the front of my bottle it says Energy Support.

Some people it works for and others it doesn't.

It doesn't work for me :smile2:

I know a deficiency of B-12 can actually hinder weight loss. My mother has been taking liquid B-12 for almost a year.

In one of my support group meetings we talked about being tired. The dietician suggested to make sure you are getting all your Protein in. She discussed that it is the lack of adequate protein that make you feel tired.... jus some food for thought!

If you have low B-12 (B12 deficiency) boosting your B12 will do wonders for you...if you're not low on B12 you can take it by the gallon and it won't do a thing for you....I've been on B12 injections (due to deficiency) for almost 3 months...my energy is up a little but I'm also down 35 pounds...honestly, I think it's more the weight loss than the B12...

when ever I get b-12 Vitamin shots I have tons of energy and lose lost of weight.

Since that is very expensive I started taking the dissolving b-12 Vitamins but they didn't work as well.

So if you need lots of energy get the shot, if you need a little energy take a few of the pills a day.

I have Fibromyalgia and tried the shots regularly for a while. It didn't help me. Sorry.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
