Kirby123 0 Posted March 4, 2010 I had lapband done in August 2009 and have not lost any weight. My doctor is very conservative with fills. I finally have 6.75 cc in 10 cc band. I do not feel any restriciton. What should I be doing at this point????
elcee 3,341 Posted March 4, 2010 You should be making sure that you are doing your part.Following the rules, making healthy choices, exercising etc etc.6.75ml at your stage is not conservative but the total fill level needed to reach restriction is different for everyone. Some people have far less(I have +/- 3ml) some need far more. The type of band also seems to affect this - if it is a Realise band then typically more fill is needed to reach restriction. Make an appointment with your Dr and discuss your lack of progress and how to handle it. He may also need to check to make sure you don't have a leak or anything like that. You may need to see the nutritionist for help with healthy choices. LeighaMason 19 Posted March 4, 2010 Are you journaling your eating? Not just writing it down but putting it in a system that automatically counts calories, Proteins, etc.? For instance, I use lose it! on my iphone but there are others.
illuminationlady 7 Posted March 4, 2010 Sounds to me like you need a fill and you are not at your "sweet spot" yet. If you have true restriction eating becomes difficult and you no longer think about food all of the time. You stay full longer and don't need the food. Call your doctor regardless and go in for an appointment. Best wishes!!!
Manda87 3 Posted March 4, 2010 Are you eating healthy and exercising? Both are very important. Even those commericals about those weight loss "pills" say that you need a balanced diet and exercise to lose weight. I would talk to your doctor about your lack of weight loss.
