I have been craving pizza in the worst way , but cant eat it because it balls up like dough and gets stuck.

SO tonight i was making calzones for the fam, and decided to try making a pizza for me,, I made a very thin crust,, little mozz cheese, sauce pepper and onions and a tiny bit of pepperoni.. cooked it until the crust was nice a crunchy... i was able to eat it just fine... and actually a little more than i should.. good thing im getting a fill tomorrow lol....

so happy to find pizza is not gone forever.!

Have you ever heard of pizza Soup?

It is like pizza without the dough. Google it. You may enjoy it as much as pizza.

Honestly, I would die if I had to give up pizza! I had a fill last week and was nervous about being able to get it down. Thankfully as long as I take my time and teeny tiny bites, I'm good. I am so tight though I need to be WAY careful.

Glad you were able to enjoy your pizza tonight :-)!

I am glad to hear that you were able to eat pizza. I find that I am able to eat homemade pizza easier than from a pizza shop. I find just taking small bites and chewing a lot really helps. I also don't eat the crust. Good luck.

By the way, we live close by one another!!

I can't eat pizza anymore unless it's my homemade crust. It sounds gross but it is SO GOOD! It is low carb but not low calorie. I can only get down 1 small piece anyway. I feel like I am having real pizza when the family is! Try this recipe.

1.5 Cups of Italian hard shredded cheeses

3/4 of package of room temperature cream cheese

garlic and italian seasonings to taste

3 eggs

Spray a 9X13 pan with cooking spay. Spread italian cheese evenly over bottom of pan. Mix cream cheese(make sure it is room temp), eggs and seasonings in blender. Pour mixture over cheese in pan. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes (less or more depending on how you want it done, I like mine well done, pretty golden brown.) When it is done as you like it add sauce and toppings as desired and cook 15 more minutes.

Voila! Pizza! I swear if i didn't know any better that I was eating REAL pizza! I usually cut the rest into serving size pieces and wrap them individually & freeze. Then i have lunch on the go anyday!

I've had the Thin n' Crispy crust at pizza Hutt and didn't have a problem. I could eat more than one piece. To me it's like a matza cracker with some sauce and cheese.< /p>

Pita works good for the crust too

Made one on whole-wheat pita today--very good. :(

My favorite pizzeria makes a crustless pizza that my whole family loves (double-edged sword: they EAT MY PIZZA!). The crust is actually a very thin layer of their sausage. It's a little higher in fat than I like for a meal, but really, the nutritional info is way better than I expected--so it makes a great treat.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
